The Legendary James Boys

McCallum   o   McClelland

A/G 1933 Willys

Canada's

Wildest and Wooliest

History:

The car was originally built in the mid-60's.  It was painted red, had a small block Chevrolet motor and was called "SHAZAM".  In 1969 a Hilborn injected big block Chevrolet was installed, the roof was chopped and legendary canadian custom car builder, Ron Box designed and painted the two-tone green paint job.  The "James Boys" car was raced all over Ontario, into Quebec, at Indianapolis and west to California.

2007 Events:

ThompsoN. June 1-3, 2007 - We completed 2 passes, and then received 3.75 inches of rain in 45 minutes. The races were rained out.

Columbus. June 15-17, 2007 - At the National Hot Rod Reunion, We completed 4 passes, and qualified mid pack. Burned a Head Gasket.

Grand Bend. July 7, 2007 - At the ONDR Inaugural Nostalgia Day we raced Kim Brush and his '55 Chev in the finals and burned the motor up in the lights. It was still running, but there was nothing left. we were able to save the oil pan, valve covers and the injectors.

We decided to build a motor instead of buying a crate motor. Our Pistons went on back order.... which ended our 2007 season.

We will be ready for the upcoming 2008 season!!
